Individuals completing this certification who choose not to meet the volunteer commitment, will be charged a fee of $250.00. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The PAIP Facilitator Training provides individuals with the essential skills and tools necessary to facilitate partner abuse intervention groups, reviews the Illinois Partner Abuse Protocol, and teaches best practices for group co-facilitation.

Learning Objectives: • Comprehend the key objectives of the Illinois Department of Human Services Protocol • Demonstrate an understanding of essential PAIP curriculum components • Exhibit an understanding of an effective group process with appropriate co-facilitation skills • Understand and gain the tools to engage with difficult participants • Be familiar with PAIP Program Requirements and Reporting Target Audience for PAIP Facilitator Training: Professionals who work with, or intend to work with, perpetrators of domestic violence.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Abuser Intervention 20-hour Training is offered twice a year at South Suburban Family Shelter.

Individuals completing this training who plan to become active volunteer will be charged a fee of .00.

In exchange for the reduced fee, volunteers commit to an average of 4 volunteer shifts per month for one year.

Volunteer shifts can include any combination of various program areas.

One year commitment begins the month following 60-Hour Certification.
